Latvian citizen Alina Gerlina, who lives in Russia, came as a “foreign observer” to the pseudo-referendum in Donetsk (DPR) and gave an interview to the Russian propaganda news agency RIA Novosti. In the interview, Gerlina said that she was afraid to come to Latvia, because she was sure that she would be arrested at the border and put in a pre-trial detention center. In her opinion, the actions of the European Union are a violation of freedom of speech and movement. [Translated from Russian]
