Dušan Bajatović is a former MP of Serbia (2007-2016), and chair of the council of the Development Centre of the Russian Geographical Society in Serbia. Once an ally of Slobodan Milošević, he was later an advocate of moving the Socialist Party away from Milošević's legacy. Since 2008, he has been the general manager of the Serbian state-owned natural gas provider Srbijagas. Bajatović regularly comments the Serbian edition of the Russian state-controlled Sputnik website and promotes Russian economic interests in the Balkans.
