The seventh presidential election in Russia was held on 18 March 2018. With the exception of the election in Russia-annexed Crimea, this election is considered legitimate. On 30 July 2018, Zimbabwe held general elections to elect the president and members of both houses of parliament. For the first time since 2002, Western institutions sent several missions to monitor the elections in Zimbabwe following the coup d’état in 2017.
