Gunnar Norbert Lindemann is a member of the Berlin State Parliament. He won the 2016 election to the Berlin House of Representatives of the constituency Marzahn-Hellersdorf 1 as a direct candidate of the Alternative für Deutschland (AfD) / Alternative for Germany. He is a member of the “Russian Germans for the AfD” group within the AfD.

In February 2018, Lindemann, together with several other members of the AfD, illegally travelled to Crimea, and in April that year participated in the Yalta International Economic Forum, held in Russia-annexed Crimea. The same year, Lindemann observed the illegitimate general elections in the DPR. In 2019 Lindemann observed the first round of the presidential elections in Russia-occupied Abkhazia.

Я был несколько раз в Крыму и Донбассе. Мне запретили въезд на территорию Украины и приняли решение "заморозить" все мои активы на Украине, хотя там у меня их нет. Поэтому санкции мне не страшны. Я был в Крыму в 2014 году, когда здесь проходил референдум, и спустя шесть лет настроения людей практически не изменились – крымчане счастливы жить в России.

Защита избирателей от короновируса прекрасно организована. Здорово, что в России люди могут голосовать за свою Конституцию, в Германии это невозможно, так что в этом смысле Россия даже более демократична.

The overwhelming majority of the world’s nations does not recognise Russia’s annexation of Ukraine’s Autonomous Republic of Crimea in 2014 and international institutions such as the OSCE ODIHR consider Russian elections held in Crimea as illegitimate.

The 8th parliamentary election in Russia was held from 17 to 19 September 2021. With the exception of the election in Russia-annexed Crimea, this election is considered legitimate.
