Political activity

Robby Schlund is a German politician. He joined the Alternative für Deutschland (AfD) / Alternative for Germany in 2013 and served as a member of the German Bundestag from 2017 to 2021. Since 2018 Robby Schlund has been a member of the Sub-Committee on Disarmament, Arms Control and Non-Proliferation and a deputy spokesman for the AfD in the Committee on Health. He consistently called for the lifting of the “anti-Russian” sanctions as well as many other AfD party members. 2016 he founded the think tank "Dialogue of Civilizations Research Institute".

On June 16, 2021, the board of directors of the AfD district association in Altenburger Land/Greiz decided on party exclusion proceedings against Schlund. In October 2021 he resigned from the party.
