Li Yongquan is dean of the School of International Relations of the University of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and chairman of All-China Association for the Study of East Europe, Russia, and Central Asia (Beijing). A graduate of Moscow State University, he served as Moscow corespondent of Guangming Daily.
