She is known for her positions in favor of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad during the Syrian conflict, for which she is accused of making propaganda, as well as for the disinformation and the conspiratorial content she spreads, in particular about Syrian aid workers known under the name of White Helmets.
Vanessa Beeley was involved as an international observer in the ''2022 pseudo-referendum for the formal annexation of occupied territories of Donetsk to Russia'' organised in Bashkiria (Republic of Bashkortostan) for those displaced from DNR.
