In addition, he is a member of the Association for the Promotion and Development of Afghani Youth, which is actively involved in representing his country in Russia. Ekhlas observed the illegitimate Russian presidential election in annexed Crimea in 2018 and the all-Russian voting on amendments to the constitution in Russia in 2020.
